We recently stayed at this Manhattan Beach property and overall had a good experience. The location and views were absolutely amazing and were definitely the highlight of our stay. The home was also well-stocked with essentials, which we appreciated. That said, we felt the property itself could use some attention, especially considering the premium price point. While we understand much of the cost is driven by the incredible location, we expected the home to be more comfortable and better maintained.A few issues we encountered included:* The upstairs bathroom sink drained extremely slowly, often taking 15 minutes or more to clear after normal use.* The fan provided in the upstairs bedroom made a loud clicking noise whenever the oscillation feature was used, making it unusable for us.* The hand towel in the downstairs bathroom appeared dirty upon our arrival.* The ice maker was frozen into one large block of ice and could not be used.* The bicycle in the garage was very outdated and the gears would not shift properly. We did bring these matters to the owners’ attention during our stay, and they were responsive, acknowledged our concerns, and assured us they would address them. We appreciated their communication and willingness to help.Overall, the breathtaking views and unbeatable location made for a memorable stay. However, the home felt somewhat outdated and under-maintained, and we believe some updates and repairs would greatly improve the guest experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was absolutely perfect, and the home was fantastic. One thing that may seem small but made a huge difference — the beds were incredibly comfortable, so we slept very well when construction noise wasn’t going on nearby. The biggest downside during our stay was the construction happening right next door. It definitely took away a bit from the relaxing vibe we were hoping for, though we still made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves.Checkout was also a little stressful because the cleaning crew arrived early and waited outside in their car while we were still packing up and loading the car. It made us feel a bit rushed at the end of an otherwise great trip. One thing future guests should know is that the bonus room/common area is shared with the guests staying next door. Thankfully, we had no issues at all and actually loved spending time out there in the evenings — it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the stay.Overall, minus the construction and slightly awkward checkout experience, this place truly is a gem and we would absolutely recommend it.

Location is great! About a mile or 20 minute walk to Manhattan Pier. House sits right on The Strand. Kitchen is well stocked lots of plates; knives wine glasses pots and pans and a full spice rack. Beds were comfortable; the splits in the living room and two main bedrooms were great at night. Communication was AWESOME! Often within moments I had answers, they even allowed us to check in early when I asked if we could drop our bags off until check in. My only disappointment with the house was usability of the outdoor space- which was the reason we rented it- the “grass” area right above the beach was not private at all. You share the common space with the renters in the Triton which wasn’t the challenge- everyone walking passed brought their dogs up into that area and one day some random guy just took a seat and hung out. When I came out to sit in the area he asked if he could stay?? The area behind the “cabana” doesn’t have a view and the “cabana” really doesn’t either as the windows are kinda high.
